Salvation and Truth - Islamic Short Stories - A beautiful story moment about Salvation and Truth from the life of our Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Assalamu Alaykum everyone, today in "Salvation and Truth" blog post, I'm going to share a riwayat/moment from the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Once upon a time, Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was going somewhere so prophet has heard the voice" Ya Rasoolallah", prophet checked out here and there but no person was there, after few seconds voice came again, Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ on checking again found that there was a deer(doe) on the ground tied from the string with bed and she was the one who was calling u again and again.
Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came to her(doe) to ask her what's the matter? She replied, "Ya Rasoolallah your Sahaba took me here and tied me here with string now I belong to him but I have little kids(fawns) out there at the peak of the mountain, they must be hungry right now, so I would be very thankful to you if you can untie me so I can feed them and I promise that after feeding them I would come back to you ." Rasoolallah asked, her "If you wouldn't come back then what? ". She said, " if I break my promise then may Allah put me in hell " then Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ untied her and doe started running quickly, she went up to the peak of mountains and disappeared. Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ kept waiting there for her to come back.
After some time, Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ saw that she(doe) was coming down from mountains, so she came back to Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as promised and said " Ya Rasoolallah I'm here" then Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ tied her again with string beside the bed and sat there on the ground.
After few minutes, sahaba came to place who caught that deer(doe) and felt the wonder that what prophet of Allah is doing here. Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked him for a favor "I have a request that if you can gift me this deer(doe) then I would be very thankful to you." Sahaba replied, "Ya Rasoolallah this doe is nothing as a gift, for you, we can present anything whatever you want". Ya Rasoolallah said, "No I want nothing else I just want this doe as a gift".
After taking deer(doe) as a gift from the sahaba, Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ untied that tied deer(doe) and said "You are free from now and now you can go to your kids(fawns)"
So the lesson we get from this real-life story is that we should always speak the truth no matter what conditions are because truth gives salvation!
